Murthovic and Thiruda will share their creative journey and the process behind the making of Elsewhere in India - a show that has taken them not only across India but around the world, collaborating with everyone from traditional South Indian musicians to cutting-edge digital artists.
They will also speak about their vision of "AI for Cultural Good", which has driven them to collaborate with archives such as the British Film Institute and museums, including AGNSW and Immigration Museum Melbourne.
Set in the year 2079, Elsewhere in India envisions a speculative future through a fusion of digital mediums - 3D video games, AI art, motion-captured dance, and archival footage - to explore how heritage, science, and society intertwine in an imagined Indo-futurist world.
The result is a playful yet thought-provoking journey through India’s future, underscored by emergent electro-classical dance music.
