A welcome to OzAsia Festival’s Weekend of Words from Program Curator Sami Shah.
This year for the underliners, the re-readers, the ones who smell pages and collect sentences like spells. I believe stories aren’t just what we write. They’re how we live, remember, resist and begin again.
I’m thrilled to have you join us for a remarkable celebration of writing, culture, and creativity.
From memoirs and poems to fantasy, journalism, and comics, our writers are reshaping what story means and who gets to tell it. Whether you came to laugh, cry, argue, annotate or just get very emotional in a bookstore, you’re in the right place.
This isn’t just a program. It’s a map. Follow the thread. Find your story.
